Edward C. Buckwald B.Sc. (Hons), Ost - Principal Osteopath
Edward graduated from the much renowned British School of Osteopathy in 1995, winning the prestigious technique award. Since qualifying, he has taught in clinical diagnosis and osteopathic technique to undergraduate and post-graduate students. He currently lectures in lower limb biomechanics and prescription orthotics to Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Podiatrists.
His special interests are sport injuries, foot biomechanics and orthotics, problems experienced during pregnancy and babies.
Edward has developed strong links with local GP's, Orthopaedic and Rheumatology Consultants, Neurologists and Health Visitors.
Chris Eke B.Sc. (Hons), Ost - Osteopath
After graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 1998, Chris worked in one of the most established practices in New Zealand before returning home to focus on osteopathy in Hertfordshire. It was here, working within the health care system, that he was able to combine his interest in professional sport with osteopathy. Chris played rugby professionally for the leading london side 'Wasps' before concentrating on his osteopathic career.
He remains in close contact with his peers and continues to treat a number of international players. Recently he has worked on a consulting level offering osteopathic treatment and gait analysis to the Osteopathic Association. He also lectures with Edward in lower limb biomechanics and prescription orthoses to Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Podiatrists from all over the world.
Adam Balderstone B.Sc.(Hons),Ost Med - Osteopath
Adam graduated from the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) in Osteopathic Medicine. His special interests include sports injuries, foot biomechanics and orthotics; pregnant and post-natal women and he has great success treating chronic patients, through use of his 'whole body' approach to treatment.
Adam has completed an advanced course in Neurolink; www.neurolinkglobal.com a new and dynamic treatment which is used to address systemic problems of the body. This treatment is very effective with both adults and children.
Always an active person, Adam was a schoolboy county gymnast but now prefers golf and skiing, not to mention spending time with his wife and family.
Morwenna McDonald - B.Sc.(Hons),Ost Med - Osteopath
Morwenna graduated from the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy in 2002. Since qualifying, Morwenna has gained clinical experience, in a variety of environments, treating patients of all ages.
Morwenna enjoys treating a range of complaints including sports injuries, postural problems, foot and gait dysfunction, arthritis, repetitive strain injuries, back pain in pregnancy and patients with headaches.
Morwenna recently returned from Australia where she practiced for fifteen months, which she found to be beneficial both professionally and personally.
When she is not working, Morwenna enjoys latin / ballroom dancing, Pilates, sailing and badminton.
Sarah Clifford MCSP SRP Grad Dip Phys - Physiotherapist
Sarah qualified from Kings College Hospital in 1987. Since then she has worked widely in the NHS and private sector.
For the last ten years she has been the company senior physiotherapist for Kodak Ltd. She has specialist interests in treating all soft tissue, spinal and sports injuries, with manipulation, deep tissue massage, acupuncture and exercise programmes. She also has a particular interest in prescriptive orthotics.
Sarah is a recognised provider for Bupa, Axa PPP and all other health insurance companies.
All her spare time is taken up looking after her family of three boys!!
Valerie Chevalier B.Sc.(Hons),Ost - Osteopath & Sports Masseur
Valerie trained as a sports masseur at the Association of Physical and Natural Therapy, qualifying with distinction.
She qualified as an osteopath in June 2008 with 1st degree honours.
Valerie is married and has two boys!
Bethan Jones B.Sc.(Hons) - Sports Therapist
Bethan has worked for the past four and a half years with a wide range of people from sporting and occupational backgrounds. A keen rugby player herself, she understands the physical and mental needs of sport and has continually been the resident therapist for three local rugby teams since 2004.
She understands that it is important not only to treat the pain but to treat the cause as well.
Her interests have taken her abroad; skydiving and coaching gymnastics in America, scuba diving in Thailand and Egypt and playing for a rugby club in Canada whilst also becoming their sports therapist.
Bethan is currently undergoing a five year degree in osteopathy and will hopefully join the team of osteopaths in 2011.
Kate Sweetman B.Sc.(Hons) - Sports Therapist
Kate studied Sports Therapy at Kent University and graduated in 2008. She enjoys working with people of all ages and treating a range of injuries and problems; specialising in sports injuries and re-abilitation. This coming September she will be studying reflexology.
Kate has worked alongside Old Albanians RFC and is enthusiastic to gain more experience in sports injuries.
In her spare time, Kate takes a keen interest in keeping fit and enjoys a range of sports.
Alice Clayton - Remedial & Sports Masseur
Alice studied Sports Massage at St Mary's College in 2005 following a personal interest as a keen athlete. Upon qualifying, alongside a desk job, she worked closely with Northampton Athletics Club and Old Northamptonians RFC in her spare time. Following the birth of her first child Charlotte, she decided to leave her office job behind and start a new career in massage.
Alice also continues with sport, taking part in running, triathlons and adventure racing with her husband.
