Abbots Langley Clinic Treatment Services are offered by appointment only. No one can make use of any treatment services without a pre-booked appointment. An appointment may be changed or cancelled but a cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged for in full. Appointments can only be booked by contacting the clinic directly by telephoning 01923 268787, or by submitting a contact form.
Usually, each appointment contains some form of treatment and will only be offered if it is safe to do so. If it is not safe to do so an explanation will be offered, and no service will be offered without consent.
Patients have the right to understand what a treatment service will entail before consenting to it and have the right to ask any questions or for any clarity that they would like. Anyone who may not be able to give informed consent (for example those who are under the age of 16 years old or those without the capacity to consent for health reasons) must come with a chaperone (a trusted person who has the best interest of the person being treated at heart). A chaperone will also attend the appointment to perform the role of understanding the service being offered and considering whether it is suitable for the person being treated. If during an appointment it becomes apparent that it is unsuitable for a service to be offered because a chaperone is not present that appointment will end and a future appointment must be booked to allow a chaperone to also attend.
Any feedback regarding the service you received is welcome and can be provided verbally, by telephone, email or post. If you are not entirely satisfied with the treatment you received please contact us:

If you wish to make a formal complaint to the governing body rather than the therapist that you were treated by this must be done by contacting the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). Please make an effort to rectify the problem by contacting the clinic before taking this more formal step as it will be much faster to resolve the problem without formal proceedings.
Should a formal complaint be the most suitable course of action all the information on how to do this can be found by clicking here.
Shop Terms and Conditions
Thank you for shopping with Abbots Langley Clinic.
Our products are sold to you in original condition and, in the case of perishables, with a substantial amount of time remaining before the ‘Sell By’ date contained on each product. Please note the separate terms that apply to our range of Orthotics below.
If for any reason, you are not satisfied with the product you have purchased, there are limited circumstances whereby you can return the product for a replacement or refund. Please see our Return and Refund Policy by clicking here.
ORTHOTICS
While our orthotics are designed and manufactured to endure for years, their effectiveness may diminish due to changes in foot shape caused by fluctuating weight or the onset of other medical conditions. Therefore, we recommend regular check-ups to ensure that you continue to experience the benefits of wearing your orthotics. Our orthotics are guaranteed against breakage in normal use.
ORTHOTICS CARE PLAN INSURANCE
Care Plan Insurance provides coverage for replacing outgrown, lost, stolen, or accidentally damaged orthotics at a cost of £100.00 for 2 years. Our manufacturing laboratory will arrange your insurance and send a certificate of cover, which you will need to make a claim. Once the initial 2-year coverage period expires, you have the option to extend the protection for an additional 2 years at a cost of £100.00.
Care Plan Insurance covers the following:
- Outgrowth: One replacement pair of orthotics due to outgrowth for patients up to the age of 16. Extended insurance cover provides additional outgrowth replacements (old orthotics must be returned to the manufacturing laboratory).
- Loss or Theft: One replacement pair of orthotics that are lost or stolen will be replaced on a like-for-like basis.
- Accidental Destruction: One replacement pair of orthotics that can no longer be worn due to accidental destruction or breakage will be replaced on a like-for-like basis (damaged orthotics must be sent with a claim).
Please take note of the following exclusions from Care Plan Insurance:
- All practitioner fees.
- Replacement of top covers and extensions.
- Any change to your orthotic prescription (this does not apply to children under 16).
All replacements must be handled by Abbots Langley Clinic and not the manufacturing laboratory.
